The pressing issue of environmental pollution prompts immediate action, particularly in analytical chemistry, where knowledge pursuit must align with ecological preservation. Chemical contaminants from industries pose significant challenges, with only a fraction of polluted sites being adequately treated annually. Consequently, a shift towards green analytical chemistry emphasizes eco-friendly practices. This transition has led to the development of green metric tools like the National Environmental Methods Index (NEMI), Analytical Eco-Scale (AES), and Analytical GREEnness Metric (AGREE). These assess factors like solvent use and waste generation, aiding in eco-conscious decision-making.
